In a recent chapel talk to the students of Baylor School, Thad was able to challenge middle school and high school students about engaging in “courageous conversations.” These conversations involve topics that are often difficult, topics we might prefer to avoid. Using his own story as an illustration, Thad shares his journey of learning to lead dialogues into courageous topics, inspiring others to seek how they can be part of sparking change. By extension, Thad hopes to make our community and our criminal justice system more fair. Thad encourages all of us to listen with compassion, embrace differences and try to see each other in a more merciful tone.
