Thad In the News:

Remembering Victims of Lynching in Hillsborough County

Thad has been honored to support the local Tampa-Hillsborough coalition of the national Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) Community Remembrance Project.  In his role as leader of the Justice Team for Hyde Park United Methodist Church and The Portico, Thad participated in an event to commemorate the life and death of Robert Johnson, a 40-year old black man who was wrongfully arrested and killed in Hillsborough County on January 28, 1934.

“We must acknowledge the truth of history as a first step toward reconciliation and healing,” Thad said afterwards.
